Who I am
Born under the sun-soaked skies of Los Angeles in 1963, my journey has been anything but ordinary. As an army brat, I danced through the vibrant chaos of frequent relocations, fluttering between multiple grade schools and two high schools before finally tossing my cap in the air in 1982. In those formative years, each new town and classroom became a canvas for me, sparking a love for storytelling that would carry through my life. After a brief detour into the military as a proud member of the Air Force for four years, I found myself at a crossroad—unemployed and uncertain. It was a challenging year, but I held onto the belief that my next chapter was just around the corner.
And it was. I landed at the United States Postal Service, where I dedicated three decades of my life to serving the community. Each day was filled with the rhythm of mail sorting, package delivery, and the camaraderie of my colleagues. The USPS became my second home, a place where I learned the value of hard work, commitment, and the importance of connecting with people from all walks of life. But while I excelled in my role, my heart always beat to the sound of words and stories waiting to be told.
Love and relationships have been a complex tapestry in my life, woven through three marriages before I finally found the one that felt just right—my fourth attempt, a testament to the growth and self-discovery that comes with life’s trials. Marriage, like writing, requires understanding and nuance, and I can honestly say I emerged from the past wiser and more attuned to the rhythms of my heart. Along the way, I poured my thoughts and experiences into the written word, crafting stories since junior high and even publishing a book. Though the financial rewards may be elusive, the satisfaction of bringing my stories to life is priceless. I may not be a bestseller, but my words are a testament to the journey I've traveled—a journey full of twists, turns, and an unwavering passion for life.
